Poetry Slam - Part 2

Come share the power of your voice.  The Student Union is proud to host the 2^ndFall 2018 Poetry Slam Competition.  This poetry slam will feature acclaimed poet and host Amal Kassir, a story-telling activist & spoken-word poet.

Outline of UTSA Poetry Slam schedule:
- 1st Poetry Slam - Sept 27th
- 2nd Poetry Slam - Oct 18th
- UTSA Poetry Slam Finals Nov 8th or 14th. 

Important Notes:
- Top poets from each slam may be selected to participate in the UTSA Poetry Slam Finals in November. 
- You may only participate in 1 of the 2 Poetry Slam Competitions. 

UTSA Poetry Team Information:
- Winner(s) from the UTSA Poetry Slam Finals will form a UTSA Poetry Team.
- This team will practice throughout the spring semester in efforts to compete in the CUPSI** championship on April 10th - 13th at the University of Houston (http://www.acui.org/poetryslam). **all-expense paid

2. Poets MUST show up 30 minutes early to ensure you are checked in.   ** If you show up late, you will forfeit your spot in the competition.
