UTSA Midnight Light

Date and Time

Monday, August 17 2015 at 11:30 PM CDT to

Tuesday, August 18 2015 at 12:30 AM CDT

Location

John Peace Boulevard Entrance

Description

Join Dr. Romo, The Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band (SOSA), fellow students, faculty and staff as we light the Monument at our Main Campus entrance at the stroke of midnight. And who wouldn’t want a chance to snag a selfie with Dr. Romo?

Oh, and did we mention a countdown complete with some pyrotechnics? And music by BOTH SOSA and DJ Gumby (yes, back by popular demand from Orientation and Roadrunner Camp).

Our front entrance monument, an award winning architectural element, is a welcoming symbol that represents our strong presence in the San Antonio community. The monument is already a popular photo spot for new students, visitors and graduating seniors, but lighting the monument in our school colors makes a proud statement that we are open for business and our spirit burns bright.
