Food of the Gods: Culture, Chemistry, and Desire Chocolate Tasting for FYE Students

Hello FYE (First Year Experience) students! What's that enticing aroma in the air? It might be love, but it is definitely chocolate! Let's get together to discuss the culture, chemistry, and desire of the 'food of the gods' and then participate in a proper chocolate tasting!

Dr. Karen Engates (Honors College Senior Lecturer & AIS EMS Associate Professor of Instruction) has received a UTSA mini-grant for activities with first-year students to build a stronger community. This event will have an interactive presentation on chocolate and then Dr. Engates will walk you through a proper chocolate tasting with a variety of samples for you to consume. 

Only students who are in their first year of studies at UTSA are eligible due to grant specifications. You must pre-register for the event and spaces are limited.
