Tuesday, August 23 2016 at 1:00 AM CDT

Location

Main Campus University Entrance - John Peace Boulevard

Description

Come show your Roadrunner Spirit by joining Dr. Romo, our very own Rowdy, The Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band (SOSA), your fellow students, faculty and staff as we light the Monument at our Main Campus entrance at the stroke of midnight to mark the start of a new academic year.

Our front entrance monument is an award winning architectural element and a welcoming symbol that represents our strong presence in the San Antonio community. The monument is already a popular photo spot for new students, visitors and graduating seniors, but lighting the monument in our school colors at the beginning of each academic year makes a proud statement that we are open for business and our spirit burns bright.
