ABC is a professional business organization that serves the construction industry through action in politics, business development opportunities, and construction education.
Associated Builders and Contractors, also known as ABC, is a national association for the construction industry that actively promotes merit shop construction. The
organization is dedicated to the principles of free enterprise and open competition. ABC is recognized as the fastest-growing construction trade association with more than
23,000 members, including more than one-third of the top 400 construction companies. ABC offers university affiliation through the Student Chapters Program, further
educating and reaching out to students in construction degree-related programs.
Associated Builders and Contractors Student Chapter, also referred to as ABSC, at the University of Texas at San Antonio is affiliated with the ABC South Texas Chapter and
ABC National Organization. As a member of the student chapter, you are entitled to special services and benefits offered by ABC and its foundation, such as competing in annual
awards and scholarships, receiving ABC and Trimmer Education Foundation publications, participation in the annual construction management competition, fellowship to attend
the ABC Legislative Conference, and a subsidized registration to attend the annual ABC convention.
Members of the ABC student chapter at the University of Texas at San Antonio will be engaged in a variety of community service projects, fundraisers, career fairs and career
awareness events, job site tours, and other activities. Membership in ABCSC will facilitate the interaction of ABC member firms, construction faculty, and college students
through a variety of industry associations and school events, including regular membership meetings, guest speakers, and internships.
