UTSA ASCE Mission Statement
The mission of the UTSA Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is to promote fellowship, leadership, and engineering professionalism among its members through active participation in chapter activities, technical development, and community service. Our chapter is dedicated to encouraging collaboration with other student and professional organizations, and creating opportunities for career advancement through networking with industry professionals.
Established in 1989, UTSA ASCE has grown into one of the most active organizations within the College of Engineering. The chapter hosts licensed Professional Engineers at bi-weekly meetings and engages students in hands-on engineering competitions, including the AISC Steel Bridge and ASCE Concrete Canoe. These experiences empower student members to work as a team, apply classroom knowledge in real-world scenarios, and compete against peer institutions nationwide, enhancing both their educational and professional journeys.
If you are a student interested in joining, an engineering company interested in posting job opportunities or bringing in a guest speaker, or have any questions regarding the UTSA Student Chapter, please stop by and speak with one of our officers or email us at asceutsa@gmail.com
