Latin Dance Society
About
The goal of the Latin Dance Society is to educate members over a variety of Latin dances, the history behind the music for each genre of dance, and to provide opportunities to perform. Members will also learn how to express themselves through dance in a fun and friendly environment.
In order to become a part of the Latin Dance Society, all members must be a student or staff member at UTSA. Those seeking membership will pay a $25 fee for each semester that he/she wishes to join. There will be general meetings for all members as well as separate “performers' practices” for members who wish to perform and/or improve their technique. Members who wish to attend “performers’ practice” are not required to be or become a performer. If a member is interested in performing, and there is a set time for “performers’ practice”, the interested member must attend the majority of the practices scheduled. Each member is encouraged to assist the organization with performances and other activities when needed.
