About Us:
The Pre-Nursing Society is a health professions organization at UTSA. We assist, inform, and serve as a resource to all students who are interested in the field of Nursing. The Pre-Nursing Society at UTSA meets twice a month and offers mentoring, socializing, fundraising, and volunteer opportunities for community service hours as part of being an active member. The Pre-Nursing Society hosts special presentations with guest speakers from a variety of nursing schools and nursing fields. In the past, the organization collaborated with The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and gave students the chance to tour a nursing school and network with nursing school students and advisors. Through our motivational acts and support, the organization plans to help students get accepted into a wonderful nursing school, while assisting each of them in identifying which fields of nursing they would like to practice one day.
