Roadrunner Powerlifting Club

Established in 2006, Roadrunner Powerlifting is the campus organization that encompasses the UTSA Powerlifting Team, competing in the drug tested collegiate division of the USA Powerlifting federation. Our team represents UTSA at the annual Collegiate National Championship, which had 900+ competitors in 2022. Our team is sponsored by UTSAPL Head Coach and founder Wes Zunker, owner of Texas Strength Systems, one of the largest gym equipment manufacturers in the country. We train at the public Texas Strength Systems gym located at 2418 Boardwalk St, San Antonio, TX 78217.

 

Outside of high-school signings, our team holds try-outs every fall with selectivity based on roster size and available resources. We choose athletes based on display of character, coachability, work ethic and strength.
