Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. was founded on April 9, 1990 at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa under 5 principles - academics, community service, cultural awareness, social interaction, and morals & ethics. The organization is a Latina-based, multicultural sorority with over 110 nationalities and over 150 chapters, associate chapters, and alumni associations. SLG is known for its eye catching shocking pink and majestic purple colors, philanthropy, and family-like sisterhood that strives to empower each and every one of its women.
