Texas Angels
About
We, the Texas Angels, are a group of women focused on empowerment, networking, and volunteering in the community. We strive to provide a safe, positive, and encouraging environment for one another through our sisterhood and our four pillars, which include scholastic, service, social, and spirit.
Scholastic: Maintain excellent academics
Spirit: Support the UTSA community by attending athletic and campus events
Service: Volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, Magdalena House, and Empower House.
Social: Provide a supportive and encouraging environment within our sisterhood by developing close relationships with one another, and interact with other student organizations to build a diverse network
Founded at UT Austin, our chapter at UTSA is the first expansion.
The philanthropy we’ve chosen is Magdalena House. Not only do we fundraise for this organization, but we also directly volunteer as a group in order to contribute to the well-being of our community.
The long-term goals of our organization is to establish a non-profit called Angels of America. We plan to expand to not only other schools in Texas, but eventually throughout the country. Angels of America will provide both job opportunities and scholarships for its members, alumni, and community.
